PACEM | SEPTEMBER LETTER
Share
As summer softens into fall, we find ourselves in a space of transition, a time to look inward, gather meaning, and move into a new season with intention.
This September, I traveled to Rome, a city layered with centuries of faith, artistry, and architecture heavily influenced by sacred geometry. From the shadowy stillness of ancient churches to the intricate mosaics of forgotten chapels, I walked through a living museum of spiritual expression representing Christian, Jewish, and even echoes of pre-Islamic and Roman mysticism. These traditions, though distinct, are bound by a shared reverence of artistic symbolism.
Pacem was born from this spirit. Not only a Christian line, but a collection of symbolic jewelry that honors the visual language of sacred geometry, spiritual heritage, and ancient devotion from crosses and stars to arches, domes, and nature.
Each piece in our line carries the quiet energy of a place, a prayer, a historic past remembered.
For me, September holds deep personal meaning through the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, celebrated on September 15. Known in Italian as Maria Addolorata, or “Sorrowful Mary,” she embodies profound strength, compassion, and silent endurance. I belong to a society in her name in New York City, one rooted in tradition and deep spiritual reflection. Her image, grieving yet resolute, reminds us that there is grace in suffering and beauty in resilience. Her Seven Sorrows speak to the universal human experience of loss, love, and unwavering faith.
This year, the day carried even deeper resonance. To be in Italy during the Jubilee, when the Golden Doors of Rome open to welcome pilgrims into renewal and grace, felt profoundly symbolic. Surrounded by centuries of heritage, devotion, and craftsmanship, I was reminded how faith and artistry intertwine, Each architectural detail, each gesture, reflecting a quiet reverence for what endures.
It was a sacred moment standing where art, architecture, and spirit converge and a powerful reminder of the beauty that continues to inspire Pacem.
Rituals for September
This month, I invite you to:
Wander Intentionally
Whether through your neighborhood or a sacred city, look for geometry, balance, and beauty in the old and overlooked.
Cleanse with Clove & Frankincense
These warm, resinous scents have been used for centuries across traditions. Let them reset your space and your spirit.
Reflect Beneath an Arch
Sit under an archway or rounded doorway and breathe in symmetry, shelter, and threshold. These spaces symbolize both return and release.
Pacem is a prayer for peace, translated through metal and light.
I’m so glad you’re here.
With love and symbols,
Amber
